Adam Gray
Adam Gray is the Head Chef of London's world-famous, Michelin starred restaurant, Rhodes Twenty Four. So far, 2009 is proving to be Adam's most fantastic and challenging year yet!
January kicked off the pace with Rhodes Twenty Four retaining its Michelin star for the fifth year running, under Adam's precise, professional direction. Adam accredits this success to the brilliant support from his sous chef, Andrew Barkham, plus his stoic kitchen brigade, and of course the meticulous restaurant team, led by General Manager, Ludovic Bargibant.
In mid March, Adam will be travelling to Dubai to assist his former sous chef Paul Lupton, now the Head Chef of Rhodes Mezzanine for the second “Taste of Dubai” festival. After the huge success of last year’s festival, Rhodes Mezzanine will be headlining the event again and serving a selection of taster dishes from the restaurant menu.
At the beginning of May, Adam will be returning to his roots- Northampton College - for the 6th year running, to transform the College's restaurant to "Michelin star" standard. This will be an integral part of a two-day intensive training session for selected catering and hospitality students. The grand finale will be a three course meal cooked and served by the students to 90 invited guests using Adam's recipes and cooking techniques, and under his steely direction.
In mid June, Channel 4's "Taste of London" will be in full swing at Regents Park. For this extravaganza, Rhodes Twenty Four is one of the longest standing and busiest restaurants that headline the event every year. The restaurant will be serving a selection of taster dishes from the Rhodes Twenty Four menu past and present.
At the end of August, Adam will again be returning to his roots, but this time he will be opening the third Northamptonshire Food Show held at Holdenby House. The show is held in the grounds of this stunning stately home over a two day period. Adam will be giving various live cooking demonstrations and answering culinary questions from the audience.
With such a hectic schedule, Adam still manages to keep fit: cycling 26 miles a day to and from work; swimming; clay pigeon shooting; training in Krav Maga and participating in specialist training with ex-members of the SAS.
Adam lives in South West London with his wife Amber.
